Keep
Pinellas Beautiful offers
a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. We have programs
for students, church and fraternal groups,
businesses, and individual citizens. Listed below is a short
overview of each of the programs and a link to more information
on a specific program.
ANNUAL
COUNTY WIDE CLEANUP EVENTS
We
conduct two Annual Countywide Cleanup Events. They are the
Great
American Cleanup (Spring - 3rd Saturday in March)
and the Florida
Coastal Cleanup (Fall -3rd Saturday in October).
Each
cleanup event will have 30 plus established safe, public accessible
volunteer
locations (sites). A majority of these sites are shoreline
related because Pinellas County is surrounded by the Gulf
and Bay waters
on three sides.
Each
site will have a Site Captain to assist
volunteers.
Conflicting local events sometimes will cause a given site
to hold their cleanup event on a different date. Alternate
dates
for those
sites are often used. Volunteers of all ages are welcome!!

COMMUNITY
VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS
We
gladly work with any community leaders or interested party
(church/school/business) to organize
a Community volunteer litter
cleanup event in their respective community or we can suggest
areas for their company or group desired event.
Many
of our community events have become annual or semi annual
events. Volunteers from outside these communities are often
needed to assist elderly or handicaped residents participate
in the Community
Cleanup. As these events are scheduled, they are added to
our
Events Calendar.
ADOPTION
PROGRAMS
Adoption
programs allow citizens, groups and businesses to adopt a
designated area and then do their required four cleanups
per year according to their own schedule.
