EDUCTIONAL PROGRAMS

Keep Pinellas Beautiful (KPB) has developed a new elementary school program called "Clean and Green Team". The educational section of our website is dedicated to the promotion of Litter Awareness within Pinellas County. It is our intent to make this section both educational and fun for our young people.

We hope in time, it will become a place for both parents and teachers to download coloring pages and other youth orientated projects.

Pinellas County is surrounded on three sides by two bodies of water. They are the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay. Rain and winds move the litter from our land (especially on or near roadways and parks) to storm drain channels.

The Litter then in turn flows to our Estuaries, Bayous and Wetlands, thereby polluting the natural habitat of many birds and small marine life.
